We proudly and joyfully commemorate the 103rd anniversary of the 30 August Victory Day, the great epic written as a result of our ancestors’ honorable struggle for the independence of our sacred homeland and the freedom of our nation.
Having opened the gates of Anatolia with the Battle of Malazgirt, our nation forever secured Anatolia as Turkish land through the Great Offensive (Büyük Taarruz).
This blessed victory not only defeated the enemy but also laid the foundations of the Republic of Turkey, which will endure forever.
On this occasion, I extend my heartfelt congratulations on our 30 August Victory Day. I pray to Almighty God for mercy upon our Martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the homeland and the flag, and express my deepest gratitude and respect to our Veterans, as well as to Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the Commander-in-Chief of the Great Offensive, and the heroes of our National Struggle.
